We interpret this as if your entering a political career to study would not have in mind the golden rules so you would have to leave the trash.

Cartoon about Golden Rule: Calvin and Hobbes

In this session, we work with activities on the Golden Rule. The questions are :
1. Briefly summerize the cartoon strip
2. Explain the meaning of hobbes quote (the tiger) in the second to last drawing
3. What's the relationship between the cartoon story and the Golden Rule
4. What philosopher said this famous sentence: ''the ends justify the means''. Look information about him.
5. Who were the real ''Calvin'' and ''Hobbes''. Look about them.

The most important question for us is 3. His solution is ''the boy say that the quote is only for him, and not for everyone. So it can not be, because one important rule is equality for all

Presentaciones de filósofos

Entre los últimos días del segundo trimestre y los primeros del tercer trimestre hemos estado trabajando cada grupo con un filósofo diferente, nosotros escogimos a Sócrates, nos propusieron una serie de pautas que debiamos de seguir, su ética (en esta pregunta nos ayudaba Megan), su vida, su época y su bibliografía.
Después teniamos que representar delante de la clase por supuesto todo en inglés.

What about...? Human Rights

Every Monday we dedicate the time to work on the book of human rights, read the bookand answer the questions that our teacher has worked preparado.Solo the book in class. An example of the type of question:

"What right does the student Claim to have? What right does the teacher Claim to have?''

For each chapter we answer a few questions.

8th March, International Women's Day

Monday 7th, megan showed us some slides that told the story of women over time, as they struggled for equality.
The idea of an international day of women emerged at the end of the nineteenth century,industrial revolution and during the rise of the labor movement.

After this presentation, suggested a game that was to find out who was the person whogave us data points, then we would ask some questions.

Was Simone de Beauvoir, a French novelist and philosopher. Wrote novels, essays,biographies and monographs on political, social and philosophical. His thinking is partof existentialism and works as "The Second Sex" are foundational elements of feminism. Partner was also a philosopher Jean Paul Sartre.

The Golden Rule

We, during a session we did a debate on the golden rule, between  religion and human right.

We answer the following questions:

A. What is a golden rule?
B. Why is the golden rule important to discussing human rihgt?
C. In which culture can we find the golden rule?
D. Why do we have to respect the golden rule?
E. Is it necessary to belong to a religions in order to follow the golden rule?

Diálogos

En una de las sesiones teniamos programado hacer un diálogo en inglés, que ya hacia días que lo estábamos trabajando. Por grupos elegimos un tema de una lista que nos dio Antonio Romero, nuestro profesor de esta asignatura. Nuestro grupo eligió ``Death penalty (cadena perpetua)´´. Una vez preparado el diálogo, lo representamos delante de la clase, cada uno adquirió un roll.

RESUMEN 1º TRIMESTRE

En este trimestre nos hemos realizado diferentes trabajos entre los que destacan:

• Expulsión de lo gitanos rumanos de Francia; en este trabajo nos presentaban la noticia en varios artículos de los cuales debíamos responder a una serie de preguntas que se nos hacía.

• Elecciones al consejo escolar; consistía en saber de que trataba este asunto para conocer bien los métodos utilizados para votar, para elegir bien y tener en cuentas varios puntos. 

• En la parte de inglés tratamos diferentes trabajos sobre la Unión Europea y los derechos de los niños junto con las normas de cada país.

¿En qué va consistir nuestro blog?

Nuestro blog va consistir en publicar los trabajos realizados en clase.
Publicaremos novedades, trabajos voluntarios, entre otros.
Durante todo este tiempo hemos estado trabajando tanto la sección bilingüe    como la de español con la ayuda de una asistente nativa de América.
